The Gator Getaway is the perfect escape from reality located in the swampy town of Manchac, Louisiana. It is the ideal place for a stay near the water with no boat required! The historic building was the original Church of Manchac and was remodeled into a home. Located within walking distance to the famous Middendorf's Restaurant! Also nearby is the public boat launch, Sun Buns river bar boat taxi, and other local favorite spots! Located about 40 miles outside of New Orleans. The house is a cozy one bedroom, one bathroom home with a pull out couch (with a mattress topper) in the living room. The outdoor patio area is the perfect place to relax, enjoy the company of friends and family, or even appreciate some alone time while listening to the sounds of the swamp. There is plenty of room for parking vehicles and boats in front of the house and even along the street. The Gator Getaway is road accessible only but with plenty of space to park a boat and trailer. The public boat launch is only one minute away!
