The third floor at the Minneapolis Institute of Art is what I picked to explore on a rainy afternoon, and let me tell you, I barely scratched the surface of what this place has to offer. This is just…Full review by Matt N

They truly have magnificent collection of art. Try to allot more than 2 hours. I like better the second level display. Lots of parking optionsFull review by Guide55635543165

There is a cool sarcophagus and many Asain artifacts and big rooms with modern paintings and some recognizable Van gough. It’s an old fashioned type museum with big marble stairways and such, which I think is fun to show my kids. Unless your kids are really into art and artifacts, this museum might not be the best as a long destination. That said, walking around looking at cool stuff and then getting a cookie at the cafe is fun for my six year old. It’s free so I don’t mind if we are there for an hour or so. Combining this with Children’s theater ( in the same building) or midtown global market a few blocks away is a fun idea. This place has several food vendors and international shops selling handmade items and trinkets.
I just bought a metal goat attached to a wooden base. On the bottom of it a label says that it was an authentic replica of an original from your institute. Can you tell me anything about the original piece? I bought it at an antique mall in Kent, Ohio. I payed $12.50 for it. I love goat related items as I raised goats for many years.
