The South Rim Fire in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is now at 2,896 acres and still at zero percent contained, according to the Saturday update. The lightning-caused fire has closed the park and evacuation orders have been given to the Bostwick Park community.
A 63-year-old woman was found a quarter mile away from her vehicle. The investigation indicated she was returning to the trailhead when she collapsed.
