Don’t expect “Back to the Future” to return from the past. While speaking at Universal Fan Fest Nights on Friday (via People), “Back to the Future” screenwriter Bob Gale shut down the possibility of any more follow-ups to the classic 1985 film after the “Cobra Kai” finale teased a television adaptation.

Created by Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale, the franchise was finished with the third film, but fans have been demanding more content for decades now, especially since the reboot and revival craze hit Hollywood.

I don’t know anyone who is hoping for a Back to the Future remake, reboot, or sequels, but if you are, you can officially stop holding your breath. Screenwriter Bob Gale made it very clear during a recent panel at Universal Fan Fest Nights that it's not happening.
