According to a report from ESPN NBA insider Brian Windhorst, the Celtics are actively trying to trade guard Anfernee Simons. He was acquired in the trade that sent Holiday to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Over the past few weeks, the Celtics have gone from having their championship-winning roster intact to having an unrecognizable lineup projected for next season. Throughout the offseason, Boston has traded Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis, while also losing Luke Kornet and likely Al Horford in free agency.

Despite potentially losing Jayson Tatum for the entire 2025-26 season, Brad Stevens doesn't view this season as a rebuild for Boston.
