The Los Angeles Clippers are hitting the third stop on their multi-game road trip and Friday's opponents are the Charlotte Hornets. Friday night's game is the first meeting of the regular season between these two teams.

Against the Lakers on Monday night, all-star PG LaMelo Ball suffered an ankle injury. He had an MRI on Wednesday and it revealed a left ankle sprain. Ball is expected to miss at least one week for the Hornets.

After suffering an alarming mid-game injury on Monday, All-Star Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball appears to have avoided a long-term issue. Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports that the 6’7″ pro is slated to be sidelined for at least a week before his status is reappraised.
