A second minor earthquake has rattled the New York metropolitan area within several days. The 2.7 magnitude quake struck Tuesday afternoon near Hillsdale, New Jersey, northwest of the Bronx.

The quake was the second one to hit the New York City metro region four days. Both earthquakes were centered in Bergen County. On Saturday night, a 3.0 magnitude earthquake was centered northeast of Hasbrouck Heights, about 10 kilometers below the surface, according to the USGS.

For the second time in just a few days, New York City has been rocked by an earthquake. Thankfully, it doesn't appear that this one was any more destructive than the last one. According to NYC Emergency Management,
