Football is back. While NFL training camps are just gaining steam as many teams transition to fully padded action, two of the league's 32 clubs will hit the field for an actual game this week: It's the Detroit Lions versus the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2025 Pro Football Hall of Fame Game,

The Hall of Fame game is the first preseason game of the year and is held on the Thursday before the NFL’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony. At least one of the teams playing in the Hall of Fame Game has a former player or coach being inducted into that year’s HOF class.
