In honor of civil rights activist John Lewis, citizens peacefully protest against Trump during a Good Trouble Lives On demonstration in Pensacola.

Community members and elected officials gathered at Fenton’s First Presbyterian Church Thursday for a teach-in celebrating the work, life, and legacy of civil rights icon John Lewis. Lewis, who represented Georgia’s 5th district for 34 years,

Protests are planned across the nation on Thursday, the anniversary of civil rights icon and Congressman John Lewis’ death. Lewis famously coined the term “good trouble” to describe nonviolent civil disobedience that challenges unjust systems.
