The New York Mets will try to keep a five-game home win streak going when they take on the Washington Nationals.

Despite trailing by two runs entering the eighth inning against the Nationals, the Mets mounted a two-out rally to tie the game behind RBI hits from Juan Soto and Pete Alonso.

Juan Soto, facing the team that originally drafted him, came through in the clutch, tying the game in the bottom of the eighth with a scorching RBI double to right.

Alonso has collected a hit in seven games in a row. During his last 10 outings he is batting .357 with two doubles, six home runs, three walks and 19 RBIs.

At Oriole Park at Camden Yards on Thursday, the Baltimore Orioles (27-39) take on the Detroit Tigers (44-25), with first pitch at 6:35 p.m. ET.

The Giants have taken six in a row.
