Bosnia’s electoral authorities have removed separatist Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik from his position as president of the Serb entity in Bosnia, following an appeals court verdict sentencing him to one year in jail and a six-year ban on all political activities.

Bosnia's election commission on Wednesday removed the separatist Bosnian Serb president from office after an appeals court upheld a verdict jailing him for a year and banning him from political activity for six years.

Milorad Dodik lost his presidency according to electoral law after an appeals court upheld a six-year political ban last Friday. He plans to stay in office and appeal the decision. View on euronews
