The Orlando Magic are acquiring Desmond Bane from Memphis in a deal that sends Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Cole Anthony and draft capital to the Grizzlies, according to a person with knowledge of the agreement.
While stacking draft capital is a rebuilding type of move, the Grizzlies don't want to deal Morant or Jackson, via ESPN's Tim Bontemps. Morant is under contract through 2028, but Jackson is scheduled to hit free agency next summer, and the Grizzlies have already decided they want to extend him.
