OpenAI is partnering with Indian conglomerate Tata Group to expand access to AI in India with an initiative to develop local, AI-ready data centre capacity as part of OpenAI’s global Stargate initiative.

TCS’ HyperVault unit and OpenAI have agreed to a multi-year partnership to develop AI infrastructure in India. In the initial phase, TCS will develop AI infrastructure with 100MW capacity, with an option to scale to 1 GW.

MUMBAI: In one of the most expansive AI collaborations announced in India this year, the Tata Group has joined hands with OpenAI to accelerate artificial intelligence adoption across enterprise, consumer, and social sectors.
