After a long break, "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" returns for Season 2 in December with new characters and "massive" action scenes.
Rick Riordan revealed that Season 2 of "Percy Jackson" is set to premiere on Dec. 10, with two new demigods joining the cast of Season 3.
Unfortunately, when Leah Jeffries was cast as Annabeth, she dealt with some casting backlash initially for not matching the character description in the books. The new Hermione actress Arabella Stanton was in a similar position when her casting news came out. Jeffries has some solid advice for the cast to “stay strong” and stick with each other.
Disney+ has been teasing fans the last several weeks, but on Thursday they finally announced the premiere date for Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2. The series will return on December 10th, the series’ cast and crew revealed during the show’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con.
When the Disney+ series returns for season 2, Courtney B. Vance will play the role of Zeus, taking over as the god of thunder after season 1 cast member Reddick died in 2023 at age 60. But the Emmy- and Tony-winning Vance made sure to pay homage to Reddick before sitting on his vacant throne in Olympus.
