The Vikings entered Friday night with a long wait before they were on the clock again during the NFL draft’s second and third rounds. General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah extended the wait to improve Minnesota’s draft capital on Saturday.

In a small trade shortly before they were on the clock, the Vikings flipped No. 97 (third round) and No. 187 (sixth round) to the Houston Texans in exchange for No. 102 (third round) and No. 142 (fifth round). Though the move didn’t add more draft capital, it did help upgrade some draft positioning.

The first Maryland football player came off the board on Friday night and it was the last selection of the third round. The Minnesota Vikings took WR Tai Felton with the 102nd pick in the draft. Felton will go to Minnesota and will get the chance to play with a great cast of characters.
