Doctor Who alum Jodie Whittaker and The Crown actor Jason Watkins have joined the cast of the BBC's screen adaptation of James Graham's play Dear England. Filming has begun on the four-part series about Gareth Southgate and the England soccer team.

They are joined by Jason Watkins as former Football Association chairman Greg Dyke and Daniel Ryan as former assistant manager Steve Holland. In addition to Fiennes, several other cast members will reprise their roles for the TV adaptation,

Whittaker, who played Doctor Who and starred in Toxic Town, is set to join the series as Pippa Grange, the England men’s team’s psychologist.
