The Dallas Wings and Seattle Storm agreed to a trade on Saturday that will boost Dallas' depth at the center position.
Yueru, standing at 6-foot-7 from Shanxi, China, was selected by the Atlanta Dream in the third round of the 2019 WNBA Draft. However, she didn't make a WNBA roster until 2022, when she played 16 games for the Chicago Sky. She also had a short stint with the LA Sparks.
Friday's WNBA slate has a pair of contests, with the Atlanta Dream hosting the Chicago Sky at 7:30 p.m. ET, followed by Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings taking on the Las Vegas Aces at 10 p.m. ET.
Yueru requested a trade from the Storm on June 4 with a desire for increased playing time, a league source said.
Jackie Young scored 28 points, including 8-for-8 shooting on free throws in a game-closing 17-2 run, to lead the Las Vegas Aces to an 88-84 win over the Dallas to hand the struggling Wings their seventh straight loss.
In the last minutes of the game, Wings’ guard-forward DiJonai Carrington was demonstrative in asking Koclanes to challenge a foul call. Koclanes declined and play resumed. The Aces drew a foul that resulted in free throws, as Carrington looked visibly frustrated.
