More than 6,000 acres have burned in Alabama wildfires over the past week, according to the Alabama Forestry Commission (AFC).

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - A strong line of storms raced across Alabama Saturday night into Sunday morning, bringing damaging wind, a few tornadoes, and heavy rain to almost all of the state.
