The Los Angeles Clippers are, to put it mildly, a dumpster fire. After a disastrous 5-16 start to the season, the drama hit a new peak when the team unceremoniously sent veteran Point Guard Chris Paul packing in the middle of a road trip.

Clippers stars James Harden and Kawhi Leonard learned of the team’s split with Chris Paul via social media and told reporters on Wednesday that the news came as a surprise, according to reports from Joe Vardon of The Athletic and Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.

After the back-to-back losses to teams with similar records, social media lit up with calls for a shake-up, either with the team, the coach, front office or all three. Most directed their ire at Lue, who signed a five-year, $70 million contract in May 2024.
