The New York Knicks are slated to conduct their first formal interview for their coaching vacancy next week. The Knicks are scheduled to meet with former Memphis Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins and former Sacramento Kings coach Mike Brown, according to The Athletic and ESPN .

New York got rejected by five NBA teams after asking if they could interview their current head coaches. The Knicks moved to former NBA coaches on Friday.

At first glance, both names would seem to be underwhelming given what the Knicks had, and some of the names they have already tried — and failed — to interview. They have already been denied interviews for Billy Donovan, Jason Kidd, Ime Udoka, Chris Finch and Quin Snyder.
