Flood watches and evacuation warnings are in effect for parts of Los Angeles County as a storm moved into Southern California at the start of a week with several days of wet weather in the forecast. The brunt of the storm is expected Monday with showers early before heavier rain developing in the afternoon.
The National Weather Service said Monday's storm was expected to produce about 1 to 3 inches in coastal and valley areas and 2 to 5 inches in the mountains.
Around 6 a.m. Saturday, the 3-year-old female arrived in the mountains north of Santa Clarita, as tracked by a GPS collar.
The wolf, known as BEY03F, roamed more than 500 miles from Northern California, signaling that the species continues to rebound after being wiped out in the state in the 1920s.
