Live updates on MN weather: No travel advisory, roads closed in southern MN due to white-out conditions
Numerous schools are closed and roads in some areas in southern Minnesota are shutdown Monday morning after the weekend winter storm dumped more than a foot of snow in some areas.
ALBERT LEA, Minn. (KTTC) – A no-travel advisory has been lifted in southeast Minnesota by the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT). I-90 west of Albert Lea to Worthington and I-35 southbound south of Albert Lea are back open to traffic.

A wave of snow swept through Minnesota overnight, causing slippery conditions on Twin Cities roads for the Wednesday morning commute. As of 7:30 a.m. there had already been multiple reports of traffic incidents, with drivers spinning out or leaving the metro’s partially snow-covered roads.
Officials say lane filtering can only happen when traffic is stopped and motorcyclists travel at 15 mph or less between lanes moving in the same direction.
