Ariana Grande hosts the 'Saturday Night Live' season 51 Christmas episode with musical guest Cher as Bowen Yang says goodbye to 'SNL.'
Colin Jost and Michael Che brought back their fan-favorite joke swap segment on the "SNL" Christmas episode, but with a twist.
The entertainment news outlet reported Friday that Yang's final appearance on the show will take place on the Dec. 20 episode, which will be hosted by his friend and "Wicked" co-star Ariana Grande. Cher will serve as the musical guest. Representatives for "SNL" did not initially respond to ABC Audio's request for comment.
The legendary NBC sketch comedy show announced during tonight's show that season 51 will resume on Saturday, Jan. 17 with host Finn Wolfhard and musical guest A$AP Rocky. Aside from fighting Vecna on the final season of the Netflix hit, Wolfhard recently appeared in Jason Reitman's SNL biopic Saturday Night, playing an NBC page.
