Fresh off his star turn at the Winter Olympics in Italy, Snoop Dogg has made his way over to south Wales to get acquainted with his latest sporting love: Soccer team Swansea City. The American rapper and entertainment icon made his first appearance in front of Swansea’s fans since becoming an investor of the team when he attended its home match against Preston on Tuesday.
Swansea’s Snoop Dogg party ended in dramatic style after Liam Cullen scored a stoppage-time equaliser to salvage a point for the hosts against Preston. Daniel Jebbison had looked like being the party pooper after his goal in the first half – which ended his 11-game goal drought – gave Preston the lead.
American rapper and producer Snoop Dogg received a guard of honour and was greeted with twirling white towels on Tuesday on his first visit to Swansea City since becoming an investor with the Welsh side last year.
The difference between Swansea v Preston and other second-tier matches was that one of the Welsh club's co-owners happens to be a hip-hop legend.
