Since the 1980s, Channel 4 and then ITV have brought the iconic images of rural France, the Alps, the Pyrenees and of course the Champs-Elysees to British homes for three weeks of each summer. That will come to an end on Sunday after ITV lost the broadcasting rights from 2026.
The 2025 Tour de France will be broadcast live on ITV4 in the UK, in what is the last year of free-to-air coverage of the race before it is exclusively shown on TNT Sports and Discovery+. Viewers can also stream the race online via ITVX app and website, and subscribers can watch the action on the TNT Sports and Discovery+ apps.
How to watch the 2025 Tour de France in the US: In the U.S., every stage of the Tour de France will stream on Peacock. NBC will also air coverage from Stage 1, 2, 15, 20 and 21.
The riders are coming up to the intermediate sprint in Vitré, which annually hosts La Route Adélie de Vitré one-day race. The last time a stage of the Tour de France finished there was in 2006, with Robbie McEwen sprinting to victory in the maillot vert.
