The New York Jets clearly have been thinking about the head coach position for a while. New York cut ties with former head coach Robert Saleh early in October after just five games in 2024. The Jets had a 2-3 record at the time and turned to Jeff Ulbrich to replace him.

Glenn, 52, returns to New York as he has been hired by the team as their next head coach. His arrival was met with plenty of excitement because of his prior connections with the Jets as a player. Now his first day in New York is in the books with his introductory press conference that went down on Monday.

New York interviewed over 30 combined candidates for their open general manager and head coach openings with a wide range of different people from different backgrounds. In the end, Darren Mougey and Aaron Glenn were the two people who were the clear choice for both the 33rd Team and the Jets as a collective.
