As they bring in a group of young pitchers in Jordan Hicks, Kyle Harrison, Jose Bello and 2024 first-round outfielder James Tibbs III in the trade that has blown up the MLB in recent days, a new generation of the Red Sox are taking over in Boston.

The win arrived in Boston's first game since the stunning trade of All-Star slugger Rafael Devers to the San Francisco Giants. Starting pitcher Lucas Giolito was credited with the win after throwing six shutout innings.

Harper hit the IL batting .258 with nine home runs, 34 RBI, and a .814 OPS over 253 at-bats. He's posted 1.5 bWAR for the second-place Phillies, who enter Monday trailing the New York Mets by 2 1/2 games in the NL East.
