Tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated further after a top Pakistani official claimed early Wednesday it has “credible intelligence” that New Delhi will carry out a military action against Islamabad within the next two days.

Pakistan's information minister says that the country has "credible intelligence" that India intends to launch a military strike within the next 24 to 36 hours.

United States Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Tuesday said that US is "very close" on a trade deal with India, adding that it is much easier to negotiate with New Delhi due to its high tariffs. He also said that the trade negotiations with India are "moving well" and that non-tariff barriers can be "much more insidious" than tariff barriers.
