Officers responded to the 3600 block of NE 28th Street — in north Fort Worth near Haltom City — about 8:40 a.m. on March 13 regarding a shooting call. They found the man with a gunshot wound to his upper body, police said.

Fort Worth police said they arrested an individual in connection to a Thursday road rage fatal shooting.

Fort Worth police say one person was shot in a road rage incident on NE 28th Street on Thursday morning. The victim was taken to the hospital with upper body injuries. A person of interest was detained but has not yet been arrested.

Ricardo Baez, the 35-year-old shot to death in a suspected case of road rage, leaves behind three brothers and two children, a 12-year-old son and an 8-year-old daughter. “Receiving that phone call was the most terrifying moment of my life,” said Ramon Baez, Ricardo’s oldest brother.
