Colorado coach Deion Sanders was away from the team over the offseason as he was treated for a cancerous tumor in his bladder, he announced during a press conference on Monday with his doctors. Coach Prime underwent surgery to remove the bladder and was found to be cured of the cancer.

Deion Sanders opened up on Monday about the health issue that's kept him away from the Colorado football team since late April. His medical team found a cancerous tumor in his bladder, which prompted a surgery to remove the bladder. He is now cured from the cancer.

Dr. Janet Kukreja, the director of urologic oncology at the CU Cancer Center/UCHealth University of Colorado hospital, said Sanders had his bladder removed as part of the surgical plan.
