Lady Vols second-half rally falls short against Texas A&M
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — After trailing by 19-points in the second half, the No. 21 ranked Tennessee Lady Vols rallied late to cut their deficit to two, but their efforts fell just short as Texas A&M held on to win 82-74 Thursday night.
No. 21 Tennessee (16-8, 8-4 SEC) couldn't stop Ole Miss forward Cotie McMahon, who had 39 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. The No. 17 Rebels (21-6, 8-4) destroyed the Lady Vols 94-81 at the Sandy and John Black Pavilion, and led by as many as 26 points in the third quarter.
The Tennessee Lady Volunteers take on the Ole Miss Rebels in the midweek game.
