One person was shot and a suspect is dead after a nearly two-hour long standoff in Farmington Hills Sunday night, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to avoid the area of Farmington Road between 9 Mile and Grand River due to a SWAT situation.

A domestic violence situation ended with at least one dead in Farmington Sunday night. According to Farmington Public Safety Director Bob Houhanisin officers were called to the 22900 block of Warner Street for a domestic situation.
