Bob Uecker's memory was honored in a number of ways Saturday, with Vinny Capra's three-run, walk-off homer against Reds providing a perfect capper.
Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich paid homage to late broadcaster Bob Uecker with a custom bat for the club's spring picture media day on Friday. Uecker, who died on Jan. 16 at the age of 90, spent 54 years as the Brewers' radio announcer and was beloved nationally for his appearances in film and television.
But that bat is back in 2025. And it will have even more special meaning this year. Yelich's bat is all about honoring his good friend Bob Uecker, the voice of Brewers baseball for over 50 years who died last month at age 90.
PHOENIX - The Milwaukee Brewers are at spring training, together again for the first time since the death of legendary broadcaster Bob Uecker.
The Milwaukee Brewers will honor Hall of Famer and longtime broadcaster Bob Uecker this season with a commemorative patch on the sleeve of their jerseys. Now, fans can buy and add the patch to their jerseys in team stores and support charities while doing so.
