Amazon's share price has been knocked off its recent highs after President Donald Trump's latest tariff threat, this time aimed at Greenland, collided with a blunt warning from Andy Jassy that import duties are already lifting prices for shoppers.

Trump said in remarks that he won't use force to seize Greenland, but added that the U.S. would be “unstoppable” if it did.

"We do not want to be Americans," Greenland's business minister Naaja Nathanielsen said on Jan. 21.
