Hamas plans to release Keith Siegel, a U.S. citizen, on Saturday in the fourth hostages-for-prisoners exchange under the Gaza ceasefire deal that began last month, and the Rafah border crossing between the Palestinian enclave and Egypt is expected to reopen for the evacuation of sick and injured Gazans after eight months.

The handover is part of a two-phase agreement that will see the release of more hostages and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza.
