Carter Verhaeghe had a goal and an assist as the visiting Florida Panthers opened a four-game western road trip with a 5-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night.

Sam Reinhart snapped a three-game goal drought and the Florida Panthers beat the Anaheim Ducks 5-2 on Tuesday night. Carter Verhaeghe had a goal and assist for the Panthers, who picked up a point in their 10th straight game against the Ducks.

Sam Reinhart scored twice for Florida ... just a couple minutes after Reinhart’s tying goal 43 seconds into the third. Evan Rodrigues got a power-play goal for Florida in the first that snapped his 15-game goal drought. Sergei Bobrovsky made 14 saves.

In the dying seconds of overtime, with the Bruins cycling in the Panthers’ zone while on a power play, Boston’s David Pastrnak took a final shot. It fluttered off Reinhart’s stick, lifted into the air and found its way into the Panthers’ net. The Bruins beat the Panthers 4-3.

After trailing 2-0 after the first period, the Flyers scored all four goals in the second and third period to clinch their eighth third period comeback win of the season, the most in the NHL.

While it’s too early to say whether or not Reinhart will face any supplemental discipline, it’s worth noting that the 29-year-old has never been fined nor suspended in his NHL career. Through ...
