Korpisalo stopped 21 of 26 shots in Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Jets, with Winnipeg's final goal getting scored into an empty net.

The Boston Bruins fell to the Winnipeg Jets by a 6-2 final score on Jan. 30. What made this loss more frustrating for the Bruins was that it was a close game before the team completely collapsed in the third period.

Korpisalo will defend the home crease against Winnipeg on Thursday, Joe Haggerty of Boston Sports Journal reports.

Joonas Korpisalo made 29 saves against his former team, David Pastrnak set up Morgan Geekie's goal and added an empty-netter and the Boston Bruins beat the Ottawa Senators 2-0 on Thursday night. Korpisalo had his third shutout of the season and seventh overall.

The B’s erased a two-goal deficit early in the third period, only to give up two goals to the Western Conference-Winnipeg Jets in 42 seconds and three in the first 5:56 of the third. The Jets then cruised to a 6-2 victory over the B’s.

Mark Scheifele scored his 30th and 31st goals of the season and the Western Conference-leading Winnipeg Jets beat the Boston Bruins 6-2.

Ford, an undrafted rookie, grew up rooting for the Bruins as a kid from Wakefield, Rhode Island. He had several family members and friends in attendance.
