A series of free summertime events kick off this weekend at Old Town San Diego State Historic Park highlighting what life was like for locals in the 19th century.

Old Town has been designated a local, state and national historic district since 1970. In addition to the state park, it includes the county’s Heritage Park and the city’s Presidio Park.
