The San Francisco 49ers are acquiring running back Brian Robinson in a trade with the Washington Commanders on Friday.

They acquired running back Brian Robinson from the Washington Commanders for a 2026 sixth-round draft pick. The Commanders agreed to pay Robinson $1.25 million of the $3.41 million salary he was scheduled to make.

While most transactions will simply come in the form of a release, this is also a period of wheeling and dealing, as some players who are on the outside looking in on a roster spot with their current team hold trade value across the NFL.
