Sarah Burton, who just dressed Elle Fanning and Timothée Chalamet for the Oscars, is bringing her expertise and empathy to her first collection for Givenchy.

At Paris Fashion Week, it's been a season filled with debuts — from Haider Ackermann at Tom Ford, Julian Klausner at Dries Van Noten, and this morning, Sarah Burton at Givenchy. She stepped down as creative director at Alexander McQueen in September 2023,

In Paris this week, those designers were Haider Ackermann at Tom Ford; Julian Klausner, the righthand to Dries Van Noten who now leads the label following Van Noten’s retirement last year; and Sarah Burton, the longtime McQueen designer who is now at Givenchy.

Top models Alex Consani and Eva Herzigová, along with Gwendoline Christie, Kit Connor, and Ryan Destiny turned out to celebrate Burton’s arrival.

Sarah Burton is legendary for her work leading Alexander McQueen after the latter's death. On March 7, she showed her first collection for Givenchy.
