Governor Andy Beshear announced a $1.5 billion investment by General Matter for a uranium enrichment facility in Paducah, expected to create 140 full-time jobs.

The move comes as Apple has pledged to invest nearly $600 billion domestically over the next four years, officials announced Aug. 6.
