More than 3,000 Boeing machinists entered their third day of a strike on Wednesday. The workers, who make fighter jets and weapons systems at facilities in Illinois and Missouri, are organizing for better pay, benefits and scheduling. The walk-out comes in what is supposed to be a turnaround year for Boeing .

The union representing Boeing employees have begun a strike after about 3,200 workers at facilities in St. Louis and other locations voted to reject a modified four-year labor agreement.

After rejecting the company's second proposed contract, union members in the St. Louis area began striking Monday. They said they will not stop until they receive a fair deal.
