SWAT and other law enforcement responded to the assault in progress in the area of 9 Mile and Grand River, Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said on X. The male suspect had already shot a female victim, according to Farmington Hills Public Safety on Facebook.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to avoid the area of Farmington Road between 9 Mile and Grand River due to a SWAT situation.

The sheriff's office said it has "a SWAT situation," with an armed barricaded individual "who has already shot someone."
