The conflict between Israel and Iran entered its ninth day on Saturday after a European diplomatic effort — dismissed by President Trump — made little immediate progress in preventing the exchanges of fire from spiraling into a broader war.

Iran supports the continuation of talks with the three European countries -- the UK, Germany, France -- and the European Union that the Iranian Foreign Minister met with in Geneva on Friday, but criticized the lack of condemnation of Israel's attack on Iran,
