MyNewsLA.com on MSNLA County Evacuation Warnings Lifted as Canyon Fire Continues BurningEvacuation warnings were lifted in Los Angeles County Saturday morning for the 5,370-acre Canyon Fire straddling the Los Angeles-Ventura county line near Val Verde west of Castaic, authorities said.
Yet, to date, the city of Los Angeles has failed to publicly report such an analysis, while fire safety advocates say L.A. County’s evacuation analysis fails to meet the law’s requirements.
So far, the Canyon Fire burning in Ventura and Los Angeles counties in California has grown to just under 5,000 acres in a matter of hours. On Thursday, the fire had burned 1,500 acres.
