As firefighters continued to get the Rosa Fire under control Thursday along Highway 74, Cal Fire lifted an evacuation warning for most of the lightly populated area of Pinyon Crest known as RVC-1916.
Some who lived in areas that hadn't been ordered evacuated still couldn't get home due to roadblocks. That kept them from checking on family or pets.
