The potential exists for the disturbance to strengthen into a tropical depression or even Tropical Storm Dexter before moving inland over the weekend.

The last storm to materialize was Tropical Storm Chantal in early July, which brought flooding rainfall across parts of the East Coast. The next storm will be named Dexter.
