Rejuvenated, resilient and back to embracing the "refuse to lose" mantra, the Razorbacks repositioned themselves with a sliver of bubble breathing room ahead of a win-and-in home finale with Mississippi State on Saturday at Bud Walton Arena.

Arkansas designated hitter Kuhio Aloy continues to hit the baseball hard. After appearing in his 10th game for the Razorbacks, he has cleared the required 75% threshold to qualify for NCAA stats leaderboards.

Duke will take on Arkansas in a primetime tilt on Thanksgiving night, Nov. 27, at the United Center in Chicago for the CBS Sports Thanksgiving Classic.

In the first round, Arkansas, as a No. 11 seed, is projected to face fellow projected No. 11 seed Ohio State in the First Four in Dayton, Ohio. The Hogs were recently in the “last four byes” spot in the same bracketology.

Arkansas will be without defensive tackle Cam Ball (recovering from elbow surgery) and defensive backs Jordan Young (shoulder) and Taijh Overton (shoulder) in spring practices. Ball started all 13 games last season and ranked ninth on the team with 47 tackles and sixth with 1.5 sacks. The 6-5, 324-pound lineman will be a redshirt senior in 2025.

Arkansas football begins spring practice Monday, and Sam Pittman is confident the Razorbacks will overcome all of the lost production from the transfer portal.

More importantly, it would put an end to the mental block Arkansas has when it comes to games played before 7 p.m., especially when in early time slots. The Hogs are currently 0-6 in day games against the SEC, and John Calipari desperately needs his team to shake its consistent bad play during daylight hours before the SEC and NCAA Tournament.
