The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain open on February 1 despite it being a Saturday, due to the Union budget presentation.

Apurva Sheth of SAMCO Securities said the modest increase in capex outlay from Rs 11.11 lakh crore in the last fiscal to Rs 11.2 lakh crore this time is much lower than expectations.

All eyes will be on Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who will table the first full-fledged budget of the Modi 3.0 government in Parliament at 11 AM, with hope that the government would strike a balance between fiscal deficit, capex for growth and social spending to revitalise the world’s fifth largest economy.
