President Donald Trump has removed former U.S. Rep. Billy Long as IRS commissioner less than two months after his confirmation.

President Donald Trump is ousting Billy Long from his role as commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service just two months after he was confirmed to the position, three sources familiar told CNN.

The former congressman and auctioneer had been confirmed by the Senate in June. He was the sixth commissioner of the agency this year.
